What I did
Conducted target audience analysis to understand what users actually need.
Created prototypes in Figma, while simultaneously teaching my group members how to efficiently use the application.
Conducted user tests to identify pain points in the user journey for further iteration.
Iterated on UX copy, using intuitive terms that speak the user's language.
Implemented a logical, fixed navigation that ensures the user always has control over the interface.
What I learned
By completing a crash course as an introduction to my education, I quickly gained a broad understanding of UX as a process, and came to appreciate the small details that make a service feel logical or frustrating
I learned that Accessibility must be considered from the start, rather than an afterthought.
Through user tests and target audience analysis, I became good at listening to other people and putting myself in their various situations and needs
The project showed me how important it is to work iteratively — to test, evaluate, and improve in order to reach a design that truly meets the user's needs on a deeper level.
